Vincent Powell earned his Bachelor of Music in voice (Tenor) and a minor in Fine Arts (Musical Theatre/Opera Workshop) from Texas Southern University in 2008. Through the diligence of his musical techniques, he strives in performance and spiritual growth. Vincent (Vocalist /Songwriter/Actor/Recording Artist) has participated in the NAACP Act-SO competition (1st place in Austin, TX, and finalist at the National Level for two years). Vincent is also a dedicated member of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (11 Years) and has performed state-wide and on the Main Stage at Nationals.

Vincent has starred in several musicals around Houston such as Porgy & Bess, Cosi Fun Tutti (TSU), Die Fledermaus (TSU), The Wiz (TSU), Hair- Rock Musical (U of H- Clearlake), and Smokey Joe’s Cafe (Wortham). He has also sung back up for such artists as Whitney Houston, Yolanda Adams, Byron Cage, Letoya Luckett, Micah Stampley, and Krishnar Lewis. Vincent has been on various stages and programs with such artists as Ashford & Simpson, Freddie Jackson, Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, Kim Burrell, Mary Mary, Trin-I-Tee 5:7, J. Moss, Bobbie Jones, and many more.
