YOUNG PROFESSIONAL
LEADERSHIP CLASS I
2026 UNA – Houston Young Professional Leadership Class I
The Inaugural UNA – Houston Young Professional Leadership Class I was proudly launched on June 13, 2026 at the University of St. Thomas to bring together rising leaders and strengthen their capacity for leadership, collaboration, and community engagement.
The UNA – Houston Young Professional Leadership Class I is a five-session leadership and global citizenship series designed for emerging leaders ages 18–26 who are passionate about making an impact locally and globally. This program introduces participants to the United Nations system and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while equipping them with essential skills in leadership, communication, diplomacy, collaboration, and professional development. Through a structured, interactive experience, participants will explore how global priorities connect to real-world challenges in Houston and beyond.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Hon. Dr. Teta Banks for joining us and sharing insights on the United Nations system. Her expertise and perspective provided an inspiring introduction to the program and helped participants better understand the role of the UN and the importance of global cooperation.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the kickoff session a success. We look forward to an inspiring and impactful five-month journey together.
