Houston’s UN Day Gala 2026

In 1945, delegates from 50 countries drew up the United Nations Charter in San Francisco, California. They signed the Charter on June 26, 1945, and it was ratified on October 24, 1945. United Nations Day, October 24, originated in 1948. This year, UNA-USA is celebrating the UN’s 81st anniversary.

As we celebrate this significant milestone, we are reminded of the UN’s crucial role in addressing global challenges and fostering international cooperation.

This year, Houston will also welcome UNA-USA leaders and members from across the country for the UNA National Leadership Summit, taking place November 13–15. As part of this special gathering, we will have the honor of hosting guests from across the United States at our United Nations Day Gala, making this celebration an especially meaningful occasion for our Houston community and the UNA-USA network.
