Native American Cultural Dinner
Native American Cultural Dinner
Our Cultural Dinner Series honoring Native American Heritage brought together guests for a time of learning, connection, and cultural appreciation. The purpose of the cultural dinner series is to highlight the many cultures within our local communities and connect those traditions to the wider global community.
Chef David Skinner’s work has been featured in the official Peace One Day World Food Day broadcast in support of the World Food Programme. He participated in the international broadcast to discuss the power of food and to promote the World Food Programme’s Share the Meal initiative. Known for highlighting pre-colonial and Choctaw foodways at his restaurants—including Ishtia and The Prsrv—Chef Skinner has been recognized for preserving cultural heritage and sharing Indigenous traditions on a global platform. At Eculent Restaurant, our Cultural Dinner Series created an authentic atmosphere where guests could experience the history, meaning, and cultural significance behind each thoughtfully prepared dish.
The evening concluded with a lively Native American history and culture trivia session, bringing guests together for a fun, educational celebration of Native American heritage.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Chef David Skinner for guiding us through the rich history and traditions of Native American cuisine, sharing the significance behind each dish and helping create a truly immersive experience.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this meaningful event as we honored Native American cultures, traditions, and contributions.
