Girl Scouts Model UN Conference

On February 22nd, we celebrated global leadership in action at our Model UN Conference in partnership with the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council in honor of World Thinking Day! Delegates proudly represented countries from around the world, stepping into the role of global leaders to address six United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. From climate action to quality education and gender equality, our Girl Scouts engaged in meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and problem-solving just like real UN delegates!

We were honored to have Dr. Rima Adil, President of our chapter, deliver inspiring opening remarks that set the tone for a powerful day of diplomacy and leadership.
A special highlight was a moving poetry presentation by LeChell “The Shootah” Rush, an award winning Poet, whose words beautifully captured the spirit of unity, courage, and global sisterhood.
The day concluded with delegates confidently presenting their resolutions and casting their votes, demonstrating that their voices matter and their ideas can help shape a better world.
Special thanks to Committee chairs Janet Heppard and Kathy Elliott, committee members Kirsten Davenport, Seher Alpaslan and wonderful MCs, Santoshi and Keerti.
We are so proud of every girl who stepped up, spoke out, and led with purpose.
