Conductor
Eric P. Esparza is the Interim Conductor of the UNIAC and enjoys a career comprised of conducting, singing, and teaching. As a conductor, Mr. Esparza has studied with Dr. Ann Howard Jones, Tom Jaber, and David Hoose, and has worked with many ensembles and organizations such as the Boston University Coro da Camera, BU Opera Institute, King's Chapel (Boston), The Berkshire Choral Festival, Oregon Bach Festival, Rice Chorale, Shepherd Singers, Shepherd School Opera, and the Florida State University Opera. As a singer, Mr. Esparza is in constant demand and has sung in the USA and abroad with Boston Secession, Cut Circle, ECSchirmer, Houston Grand Opera, The Opera Theatre and Music Festival of Lucca, and the Shepherd School Opera.
His teachers include Dr. Joyce Farwell, Dr. David Jones, and Benita Valente. Mr. Esparza holds degrees from Rice University, Florida State University, and Boston University, and is currently Professor of Classical Voice and German Diction at Sam Houston State University, and Music Director of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Houston.
