Membership in the UNA-USA

UNA-Houston is part of the United Nations Association-USA, based in New York City with offices in Washington and over 160 other local chapters nationwide. Membership is both local and national, and comes with benefits that include updates and bulletins from our national office on important news on the UN system, and local invitations to attend events and activities with other members and experts on important issues impacting our world.

The Council of Organizations, a network of more than 90 nongovernmental organizations with interests in education, social justice, peace and security, labor, sustainable development, human rights, health and women's issues, share the common goals of promoting greater public awareness about global issues and the UN's importance in world affairs and strengthening the US-UN relationship.
